Swing by one Sunday night @ 5PM and check it out. we're at Corona Foothills Middle School EVERY WEEK! Here's the latest update on how things are going:October Update I am writing this update from Biltmore Baptist Church as I look out the window at the beautiful mountains of Western NC. I was on staff here as a youth pastor for six great years and now Biltmore is our sending church and our main sponsor. This week Briggette and I were invited to come back to their Global Impact Celebration and share what God is doing at The Foundry. This week has been refreshing and re-energizing as we have experienced powerful worship, challenging sermons and heard amazing stories about what God is doing through missionaries here in Western North Carolina, the US and all over the world. It was wonderful to reunite with old friends and share with them about how things are going at The Foundry. The more I shared the more I was reminded that we have grown a lot in the past year. One year ago: · Our new church was just 2 months. · We had an average attendance of 30 · Most of our volunteers were from other churches · We were still looking for a worship pastor Today: · We have grown to an average of 55 on most Sundays · 17 people have been baptized at The Foundry this year · Every position of serving is led by someone from The Foundry · God has blessed us with Jose Garcia, a great worship leader who loves our church · We have launched a youth ministry and are averaging 12 kids each Wednesday · People who have accepted Christ are being discipled. It is so exciting to see how far we’ve come. We are really beginning to see a solid foundation of believers. This is crucial to the health of The Foundry as we seek to reach and serve our community for Jesus and as we become a church that starts churches. As we press forward into year two please pray that God would supply all our needs and would prepare us to be a church planting church. PRAYER: · Pray that we are able to lead 10 more people to salvation before the end of this year. · Pray for God to grow the worship attendance at The Foundry. · Ask God to give us success in training and discipling new believers. Our goal is to become a church where disciples make disciples. · As we seek to fulfill our vision of being a church planting church, pray that God would unite us with people called to plant churches and with supporters who believe in church planting. PRAISES: · Ashley has been looking for good one to one discipleship material. This week at Biltmore we were given 20 copies of a great one to one curriculum! · We are seeing signs of growth in Corona de Tucson. Builders who had pulled out during the housing crunch are returning and new neighborhoods are going up nearby.
